Massachusetts’ Berkshire Mountains are a popular destination for both New Englanders and out-of-staters alike. The area is home to several ski resorts, quaint towns, and beautiful hiking trails. In addition, the Berkshires are home to a number of cultural institutions, including the Norman Rockwell Museum and the Berkshire Theatre Festival. Visit the Norman Rockwell Museum.
This museum is dedicated to the life and work of famed American artist Norman Rockwell. The museum houses the largest collection of Rockwell’s work, including his famous Saturday Evening Post covers.
Explore The Mount, Edith Wharton’s former estate
This historic mansion is now open to the public for tours. Visitors can explore the sprawling grounds and learn about the life of this Pulitzer Prize-winning author.
Attend a performance at the Berkshire Theatre Festival
This Tony-award winning regional theatre presents a season of outstanding plays from June through October. Past performances have included works by Shakespeare, George Bernard Shaw, and Tennessee Williams.
